As the countdown to Tucson is almost complete I am a jambalaya of emotions. The reason I used that seemingly stupid phrase is I could think of nothing more appropriate. There are chunks of things I love and pieces of things I hate, the highs and lows are driving me crazy but I wouldn’t trade any of it. I have never put more on the line with a better feeling in my gut but a little something in everyone says change = scary. The friends that I am leaving in Illinois make my heart hurt but true friendships stick.
This last week of work is going to be hard. I have so many people I want to spend an hour with that there is no way I can get it done. I just hope that anyone I miss will take the time to write me a “hey jerk” email. If nothing else allow me to extend you a fake invitation to come out and stay with us.
