I have finally shucked the pain in the ass that is Tucson DSL in favor of the slightly better cable modem. Just as I make this step back into the future the local news is reporting the dangers of wild pigs rooting through garbage. These locals are being driven to civilization by the lack of water this year. My new friends are called Javelinas and although the name sounds cute and southwesterny make no mistake, these things are assholes. Add these guys up with the spiders, scorpions and snakes and you get the idea that the heat down here really doesn’t matter because you have to spend all of your time locked indoors. Luckily the 3 coyotes I see every morning on the way into work are no bigger than small dogs. I kind of admire their style because they are always heading back into the open desert after drinking from the local golf course.
I might be a little on the down side this week but that should all clear up once the family gets here. This week I’m missing our going away party and Mothers day. Next week will be Katie’s tonsillectomy and Liza’s birthday. There goes my shot at husband and father of the year.
