Stupidtom has become a little dry lately so I think its time to get back to venting. Not that the constant whining about how hard my isolation is doesn’t have some charm, its just starting to bore the author. Maybe venting about the situation is the answer. First up, my roommates. I have written about this combined two-hundred and fifty pounds of joy before but they just keep getting better. Because of my recent obsession with pool maintenance, Halle (my arch enemy), has decided to drag everything she can find into the water. Every night as they eat their food I spend forty-five minutes skimming the pool. The next step in our nightly ritual is an inspection of the daily damage to what’s left of the landscaping. Out here in the land of water conservation they use a little thing called drip irrigation. This stuff isn’t terribly expensive but it’s a pain in the ass to install. I can’t describe the thrill of watching a five foot section of supply line trot past you in the mouth of a Mastiff.

She has pulled away in the overall scoring as well. This past week she has killed three random plants, four shoes, (Marc’s; serves him right for leaving them) and just last night she wiped out while taking a turn and put a two basketball sized hole in the wall. As punishment she was sent to her room to lie down on a blanket that she decided to shred. This beeaaach is hoping up and down on my last nerve.

On a really cool sort of animal note; after the dogs leave I have scheduled an unofficial scorpion hunting expedition in the house and backyard. It seems that the little critters glow like Elvis under a black light. I am one with the desert.
