Day 9 with no f’ing furniture and it is officially OLD. I am so desperate for something to sit on I went out and bought a papa-san chair. This was my cheapest path to comfort but I’m not thrilled. I have burned about fifteen hours attempting to track down our stuff and the good people at United Van Lines are no help at all. Sadly if some misfortune has befallen all of our worldly possessions the movers will be shocked to learn that everything they loaded on that truck was a precious family heirloom. I will even have problems attaching a monetary value to all of the little tykes junk we are moving because is all chock full o’ memories. I think I herd that its only insurance fraud if you get caught. I’m kidding of course but all of you Illinois Farmers customers should be expecting a rate drop. I am probably at my lowest mental point and I can’t seem to pull up. One more week until everyone gets here and hates me for moving them a block away from the sun.
I’ve had a few more people ask about the quote thing and I don’t really have a decent explanation. I just love words that make me think.
Ralph Waldo Emerson. "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."
Alexander Solzhenitsyn. "Do not pursue what is illusory - property and position: all that is gained at the expense of your nerves decade after decade and can be confiscated in one fell night. Live with a steady superiority over life - don't be afraid of misfortune, and do not yearn after happiness; it is after all, all the same: the bitter doesn't last forever, and the sweet never fills the cup to overflowing."
