The family here is great but the transition is tougher than expected. It doesn't help that it's been 108 for the last few days and that half the state is on fire. The fourth should be a lot of fun because you can't strike a match without lighting a few thousand acres on fire. The pace at work has reached an atomic level. At the end of the day I would have huge problems telling you what I've truly accomplished. I know that this is really hard on Liza because she is used to a huge friend base and now she has the phone. It will just take some time for her to shift into her normal role of friend maker so I can go back to being the reclusive works too much guy. I think I was just expecting speedy miracles but this is hard. I am looking forward to spending the fourth of July on my roof with a hose just in case some moron doesn't understand that we live in a tinderbox. I have a feeling its pretty tough to stop people from blowing off fireworks in a state where you let them carry guns on their sides.
