A Fairly Unbalanced Account of my homebuilt airplane ... the RV9a from Van's Aircraft.

Actually there was some aviation related progress this week. Airplane - Some Progress: I passed the flight review for my Private Pilot license. To maintain flying status, one must have passed a flight review with a Certified Flight Instructor within the previous two years. My case was somewhat unusual since my previous powered flight experience was over thirty years ago. I know quite a lot about flying and navigation, but I was pretty rusty at basic landing skills and had some rules to catch-up on. The new airspace categories and increased number of airports with towers takes some getting used to. The sectional charts I remember had far fewer purple lines on them. On the otherhand, there are new services like flight following that should be a real help in dealing with todays airspace.
