Airplane - No Progress 10: Viewing the slabs  Now the cabinets are installed and the countertop fabricators have visited the site to take their measurements. Last Friday, we went into the city to see the slabs we picked last month and to make suggestions for the cutting plan. As can be seen, the slab is fairly light in color and has darker and lighter areas with a real mixing point in the center. (There is a second slab that looks much the same as it was the next one cut from the block.) We hope to have the dramatic zone in the center of the new bar and to the right of the sink on the main counter.
Delivery is promised for Wednesday ... with plumbing scheduled for Thursday ... the kitchen should be ready to use by the weekend.
