First Priming

Did both the horizontal and vertical stabilizers. My first experience with spray-painting ... used the $40 special "HVLP" unit from Harbor Freight. It turned out to be much easier than I had anticipated. On the other hand I was using relatively simple materials, the water based system from AFS as described by Andy Karmy.

  Here parts for the stabilizers ready for spraying with primer. They have been washed and acid etched. Neither of these tasks turned out to be particularly difficult. I do think that alodyning would have been much worse.

  Elevator Matchdrilling:
  Here the parts are laid-out on the workbench to dry overnight.
