Looking at the "quick build" fuselage kit. I need to read through the instructions and see what steps were done, and which items are temporarily installed and need to be removed for access to the next stage.

Assembling the trim tab and preparing the elevator trailing edges. Since I only have one aluminum box section to act as stiffener while the edge glue is setting it will take most of the week to get final closure.

And I got the elevators, this is the left one, all prepared for closing out the trailing edges when the straight edge, now attached to the rudder, is available.

Rudder trailing edge; my first use of tank sealant. Van's has changed suppliers for this material. They still informally refer to "ProSeal" but the catalog item has changed. The new material is offered it two packages; quart size and the new 6-oz size suitable for those "small tasks" like empennage trailing edges.

It turned out to be easier to take apart than it looked. The plunger, containing the hardener, simply unscrews from the dasher. ... that's why the instructions say to turn it clockwise.
