Neil Krishnaswami forwarded a post from the gclist mailing list to the gd-hackers mailing list announcing that Ravenbrook have open sourced their Memory Pool System toolkit.
The MPS toolkit is the system used to build the garbage collector for the Functional Objects Dylan implementation.
It's a highly portable system for developing custom garbage collectors for systems. It will be interesting to see how this compares to the Boehm collector used in many open source projects.
