Installing the development system for the Zaurus involves installing a gcc cross compiler. The compiler runs under a standard Intel Linux installation and produces executables for the Zaurus. The steps for installing and setting up the cross compilation system are quite easy to follow. As the Qtopia libraries are built using gcc 2.95 you'll need to either have this compiler installed or build it (as decribed at the previous link). This is because the gcc 3 based compilers shipped with most recent Linux distributions have a different binary layout for its object and library files. 12:51:49 AM |
