Congrès et conférences Le colloque panaméricain "Industries culturelles et dialogue des civilisations dans les Amériques" se tiendra du 22 au 24 avril 2002 au Renaissance Hôtel du Parc, 3625 Avenue du Parc, à Montréal. Le tarif réduit pour étudiant sera de 50$. Il comprendra une copie du programme et l'accès aux tables rondes et ateliers (avec traduction simultanée en français, en anglais, en espagnol et en portugais) mais aucun repas. Le programme est disponible en ligne. Le colloque international "2001 BOGUES. GLOBALISME ET PLURALISME" aura lieu au même endroit, du 24 au 27 avril. Il s'agit d'aborder les dimensions humaines, sociales, culturelles, politiques et économiques de sociétés où les TIC occupent une place centrale et jouent un rôle de plus en plus crucial. Le tarif étudiant sera également de 50$ et donnera droit au programme et aux activités, à l'exception des repas. Le programme est aussi disponible en ligne. Russ Lipton What do Jon Udell, David Davies' and Paolo Valdemarin have in common? Besides being among the premier thinkers and tool-builders in the Userland community? Their weblogs and tools are now referenced in my Docs, Scripts and Tools. Jon's meditation on storylists has inspired a wish for my Wish List. This wish is entirely mine, can't blame Jon for my poor phrasing: Ability to 'promote' weblog posts to stories for ready use of a stories list for editing, indexing and retrieval. Related: offer a meta-data feature for stories to support sorting-display of story lists by date criteria and keyword. Some of us know how sweet John Van Dyk's meta-data plug-in for Manila was-and-is ... Radio beckons. (I have also added Docs, Scripts and Tools and the Wish List to my navigation links. And .... an intra-weblog search bar, courtesy of PicoSearch. Intra means mine. But wouldn't it be nice to join together a few of the doc-type Radio sites into a single search engine. Hmmm.) Communautique, éducation, technologies Il y a quelques jours j'ai découvert les idées de Robert Putnam sur le blog d'Afrog. Je n'ai pas hésité un instant à commander Bowling Alone parce que je pense y trouver des pistes importantes sur les rapports dont j'ai l'intuition depuis plusieurs mois entre technologies, communauté (d'apprentissage) et ville-région. J'ai tellement hâte de le lire que je n'ai pas pu me retenir de prendre de l'avance hier soir...
