The Age: US press ignores Australia's pain. [Scripting News]
This makes interesting reading. Sadly, it reinforces my feeling that Dubyoo has returned the US to its insular roots, despite all his high-profile speeches about 'international' affairs. Rotten as they are, the sniper attacks which have claimed less than a dozen lives no doubt are more in people's minds than the hundreds who died in Bali. Of course Dubyoo will make his noises of condemnation and use the Bali atrocity as justification for his 'war on terror', but the reaction of the US press to this horrible event neatly sums up what most concerns the US people: their own back yard.
