"She was featured in the most recent issue of Wired magazine as 'The Most Hated Name in Music' -- a bold statement in an industry notoriously rife with avaricious record producers and label executives."  [Scripting News] How ironic that I should no sooner have posted the previous item than I spotted this announcement a bit further down the News Aggregator page! I only wonder what this mad woman still has up her sleeve for the next eleven months. I pity here family> What if one of here children got a stomach bug because of eating a banana? RIAA's Rosen Sets Sights on ISPs. Broadband providers permit quick downloading of music files; therefore, the head of the Recording Industry Association of America -- which scored a victory Tuesday with Verizon -- thinks they should be penalized. The reaction? Uh, no. By Michelle Delio. [Wired News] Who the hell is this Hilary Rosen? Where on earth does she get her weird ideas? What school of logic did she go to? Huh? This is the craziest, least-well-argued notion even she has come up with. No doubt enboldened by the incredible decision of that US Federal judge in the Verizon case, perhaps the adrenalin just went to her brain.       Seriously, though, this kind of thinking is desperately dangerous. Of course, the DCMA itself is a by-product of a similarly tortured thought process.
