Oregon HB 2892 Committee Hearing Audio Stream

The first committee hearing on HB 2892 (the "Open Source Software" bill) was held this morning, Thursday, April 3rd.

The audio is 1 hour, 47 minutes long, but worth listening too. The best thing about the bill may simply be raising awareness of Open Source in Oregon and abroad. From that standpoint, I hope that continued coverage of the bill will be seen as news and be picked up by the media. This dovetails nicely with the O'Reilly Open Source Conference (OSCON) being held in Portland, Oregon, July 7-11.

Further info on the bill can be had at:

ps. Yes there is some irony that the audio stream is in a proprietary format.
