Passing variables through embed/object tags
After having on of those hour long "what the f***!' moments I remembered seeing something on Flashcoders about a bug with the latest player and passing variables to flash by tagging them onto url's in the embed/object tag ( of the form "test.swf?var1=value" etc.) Seems like the new Flash player doesn't get the values when testing movies locally. Test it on a server and they'll work as normal.
