In today's tussle, inserting the cf ethernet card crashed the system. Rebooting and booting from the bootloader with the cf sleeve *off* didn't help. I'd insert the cf card and get no lights, no action.
So I typed "reboot" in the terminal -- with the sleeve on and the cf card in. Whatdaya know but the ethernet connection works now.
Maybe crashing with the sleeve on screws up the sleeve, and rebooting with the sleeve on fixes it?
