"What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children - not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time." -- JFK

More progress on swig and php.... One approach uses the "phpize" command that's part of php. There's no documentation about phpize. If you use php.net's search engine, you get no results for phpize. Google finds some (on php.net), but they aren't terribly helpful.

The main thing is that you have to have automake and autoconf to use phpize. No one exactly mentions that.

Having run phpize, you then run ./configure and then make. All very magical. But now what? The one page of php/swig documentation is careful not to show a complete example of how to make it work. So far all I get is "Unable to load dynamic library...." But this is progress.
