A few shots from the goodbye party for Mr. Warmth, who left this land to walk the earth in search of the meaning of life

I'm not a Mason (but I play on on TV) - but I'm interested in the history of the organization, after reading many books on the Knights Templar connection.

There were two notable stories about Masons recently:

A Ritual Gone Fatally Wrong Puts Light on Masonic Secrecy

An initiate to a higher degree of a Masonic lodge was accidentally killed by a fellow member performing the initiation ceremony. The victim was shot in the head.

jw: While pistols are not a standard part of Masonic ritual to my knowledge, it is part of the ritual to attempt to cause the initiate to believe they are about to die. Perhaps this was a variation on that theme

Two killed in suicide bomb attack on Istanbul Masonic lodge

Istanbul, March 10 :Two people were killed and 6 wounded when 2 suicide bombers blew themselves up in a Masonic lodge...

jw: dunno why radicals are targetting the Masons, who are not an explicitly Christian organization. (They do require that new members profess a belief in a divine being, but don't restrict who / what the divine being may be.) But Masons historically seem to be hated by religious groups in every society.
