Another organic power story: A powerplant in the UK which generates up to 1.4 megawatts of power from Methane gas captured from decomposing Farm animal dung won the UK Euro Solar award for 2002 There are 20 large scale plants of this type in Denmark and Germany.

The Scorpion is another DARPA sponsored robotic project which is being undertaken by Northeastern University (in Boston, MA) and the German National Research Center.
"The task of the robot will be to navigate to a target location 25 miles out in the desert without human interaction and to safely return to the deployment site."
