He's offering a NZ$500 reward for information leading to the safe return of his computer (it's actually his daughter's computer and she's devastated by the theft).

Addendum: The thief may attempt to buy a power supply since he/she forgot to take the one that belongs with the laptop.

Jaguar: Folder Actions are back and better than ever
- With the release of Jaguar, many users are pleased to see the return of Folder Actions to OS X. What's even better is that they now work on closed folders! Macworld Review: Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar
- MacWorld notes some of the changes which we can expect to find in OS X 10.2. Among the changes to AppleScript support:
- The "Scripts" menu is now included, instead of requiring a download from Apple.
- Folder Actions have returned.
- Folders do not need to be left open in the Finder to trigger Folder Actions.
Based on this review, I'm happy with my decision to order Jaguar. Time will tell if the review, and my decision, were well founded.
