At this point I guess I get sort of the gist of this thing; the basic idea is that you write in one of these minimally-functional HTML text areas, then the software automatically posts what you write when you click the right button. There are a couple of nice touches involved, like automatic formatting and organizing your posts for you. But I still don't quite get the point -- at least I don't think I do. I'd rather write in a real editor like BBedit, and in that I can still upload what I want in just about the click of a button. BBedit has a built-in ftp tool. In real life, I tend to use a command-line ftp client, more out of habit than anything, but that's not really the point.

One of the things I expected, I guess, was some cleaner/slicker way to incorporate links into my posts. I haven't read all the "documentation" though, so I'd better go do that before I start complaining in earnest.

There are some very strange things buried in the Radio navbar. Mail-to-weblog is one of them; while it could be a pretty cool feature, it deletes all the mail that's NOT to the weblog, so you need a special weblog account. Great.

The Prefs area doesn't offer any sense of where you are or how many pages are yet to come in the "Previous/Next" list. Oops, the first prefs page does work like a table of contents, of sorts, but the Previous/Next feature is complete mystery navigation.

Events seems to have some very cute, if gratuitous phrasing, as well as some not-so-cute writing that's not very clear. For example, my events list seems to be telling me to "Please notify IDG InfoWorld." I'd be glad to, I guess, but notifiy them of what?

Somewhere in Prefs you can choose "Three buttons" for Post, Publish, and Post AND Publish -- but it only tells you the names of the buttons you're deciding on in a sort of postscript.
