What Kind of Books do You Want? From Slashdot.

Is it worthwhile to post a question like this to a site? I think it may well be the best way to find out what you are looking for. The score will help you sort the signal from the noise. So why can you trust the scores? Peer review from people with all kinds of experience in the issues at hand.

How could this be rolled out into greater society as a means of peer review? Should it? Should we replace judges with random people off the street to determine the law and sentencing? If we did, how many judges would we need? Isn't that what we are doing with juries already? Just thinking out loud folks, streaming it right from my cortex and into the keyboard, warts and all.
