UK bill would "infringe scientists' fundamental freedom". Proposed legislation would give the UK government far-reaching powers to review and restrict scientific communication [New Scientist]

This is great news! The UK wants to restrict what can be taught and published by their scientists. So scientists will end up going overseas in order to do their research work, which means other countries will get to make their progress faster, and the UK (along with the rest of the EU) will be left in the dust.
