Backpedalling

Talli gave me a hard time about my Lindows sympathizing. The topic just popped up on Slashdot, and upon reading the comments I'm inclined to agree with him. You can't really be a 'little' out of compliance with a license. I had thought that Lindows occupied a grey area of the GPL, but selling a beta for $99 implies that beta is a pretty meaningless term.

I want Lindows to do well, or any company that can pump $$$ into OSS. But they have to play by the rules if they want to play. Point granted.
