I've been really worried about my exposure to viruses due to Microsoft Outlook, and anxious for a chance to make a switch. The MS security patches no longer work on my system - it complains that I need to provide the installation disks, then I do and get the same message. I'd rather not reinstall and risk losing all my data. Anyway, Evolution seems like a logical app to move to, now that it looks like someone has ported it to windows. Pricing TBD. Oh - found the pricing. It requires you to buy UWIN, but then you can just download Gnome. The U/WIN Environment on CD can be purchased for commercial use at US$249 per Windows installation. The U/WIN Environment on CD can be purchased for personal use at home, for just US$25. That covers the cost of the CD and shipping. This will also make it affordable for users who want to contribute programs to the Ported Applications CD. The U/WIN Ported Applications on CD is available for US$50. When ordering, please indicate if you want 50% of the proceeds to go to 1) the Gnome Foundation, 2) the GNU Foundation, 3) a contribution to SourceForge.net; or 4) to our Academia Research Program [we will fund research in computer science using the proceeds].
