Novell and Open Source
Novell has dropped hints that they're currently assessing which technologies to open source, and in general what their linux strategy is wrt porting their native software. This follows closely their announcement that they've ported Postgresql to NDS.
I suspect that Novell's strategy is happening about 3 years too late to matter for them, but even a little money spilled into the open source commons can matter alot for the various projects and linux acceptance for all the NDS ex-patriots.
