Lojack vs. The Club for weblog spam
http://diveintomark.org/archives/2002/10/29.html#club_vs_lojack_solutions
Pretty good article. The Lojack solution is to develop a Cloudmark for blog comments. MT/Radio/Blogger/larsblog/etc would need to support the simple API of a centrally administered reputation-based blogger voting system. Hashed signatures of
the comment would be posted to the central service and verified as unique
before actually being displayed in a blog. The referrer blacklist thus develops along
with the content blacklist dynamically as spammers post in their repetitive comments.
I think any Cloudmark fan would agree that's the way to go.

Awesome Synergy!
Wojciech Kocjan has started a project to get the AOLServer ns_* API running under tclhttpd. As I was just about to start doing the same, I am pretty excited about this! I have some implementations of different bits of ns_* code that I may be able to contribute. David Welton, Apache's mod_dtcl guru, may be on board with reimplementing the web bindings functionality for Apache as well (which would save me a ton of work getting OpenACS to run under Apache.) Wow. I really love open source.
