Mojito?
I've always thought mod_pubsub was a cool hack, but I've been at a loss to figure out a problem it addresses that couldn't be solved using more traditional, if less elegant, tools. In other words, it's always seemed like a cool solution in search of a problem.
Perhaps it would be good at solving DDOS via aggressive newsreaders?

What is SORUA?
On the several occasions when I've needed to do shared authentication between web applications and I look at the Liberty Alliance spec, it makes me think this would be useful.
