Lycoris acquires Mitel SME Server spin-off The linux gateway distribution formerly-known-as-E-Smith is terrific. I get a lot of mileage out of mine, and am glad to see the source will live on. It's so easy to use for a SOHO setup, demanding so little in terms of linux server administration knowledge, that I am not at all tempted to switch. 1:03:11 PM      comment []  trackback []

Andrew Grumet on Blogines' Proxy: Nicely put. I love Bloglines, and I think caching & transcoding web intermediaries are underrated, but I think their recent announcement is less about resolving a syndication format tussle or addressing bandwidth or simultaneous connection concerns, and more about a pure-web play and a couple pure-desktop plays realizing they're very complementary (which they are).
