CNET: Sun floats open-source database idea Odd that they don't mention clustra, the fault tolerant database vendor Sun acquired a few years back. Clustras' whitepapers described some pretty cool technology ... supported standard SQL, automatic high availability, near linear scalability, etc. but I think it became abandonware on assimilation.
