C++ Tag Team

In Whidbey, Visual C++ will be improving the support of the language for .NET programming.  Brandon Bray and Herb Sutter are in the thick of this work, which will include an ECMA standard for the binding between the C++ programming language and the CLI.  They are also sharing some of the decisions that went into these language improvements in their recent weblog posts.  If you are a C++ person who also cares about .NET these posts are almost required reading.

In a recent post, Brandon talks about how templates and generics are different (Visual C++ Whidbey will support both).  Herb's most recent post goes into detail about how the C++/CLI impacts language keywords and provides some insight into the decisions that were made in this area.  Good stuff.
