Disused stations on London's underground
There are about 40 abandoned stations on the [London] Underground network along its entire 255 miles (408Km) of trackway -- some subsurface and some above ground. Some have vanished without trace whereas others are almost intact, grimy time capsules of the era when they were closed.The Tube is a growing network, with nodes falling into disuse, much like the Web. Mind the gap!
Eight great years of DaveNet

Eight years ago on this day [Oct-07] I wrote my first DaveNet essay. It would lead to all the things I do today on the Web, including this weblog, and the CMS in Frontier, Manila, and Radio UserLand. I wrote DaveNet retrospectives in 2001, 1999, 1997 and 1995.Traditional Swedish birthday song: "May you live 100 years... Yes of course he'll live 100 years."
