The Koran vs women

Koran 4-34: Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other... Good women are obedient. ... As for those from whom you fear disobedience... beat them. Disgusting. I am surprised feminists are not more outspoken against the primitive treatment of women under Islam. [this item]

British peaceniks stage anti-war rally

According to BBC News | Politics, the people who opposed military action the Talibans and Al-Qaida in Afghanistan last November are marching in London again. They are now opposed to military action against the Iraqi dictatorship (what a surprise!): Film director Ken Loach was among the demonstrators on Saturday. He said: "We can't get involved in this war we can't consider murdering another 100,000 Iraqis simply to pursue America's interest in oil and their dominance in the region." In other words, Loach and company support Saddam and his murderous activities, not the freedom and peace for the Iraqi people which America can make possible. Note also that the claim that America dominates the region is a complete lie; why does Loach think we have to deal with Saddam and sundry other Arab dictators? These "anti-war" people wanted to save the Taliban regime and their disgusting treatment of women. How much lower can they go? I always wonder what such people would have done and said during WWII. Beneath contempt. [this item]
