Looks like some Germans think the Gestapo is connected to the US. Times: The strained relations between Germany and the United States took a turn for the worse yesterday after a senior Berlin diplomat was reported to have told Foreign Ministry colleagues that America was turning into a "police state." The comments of Jürgen Chrobog, the State Secretary, [were] reported in the German Focus magazine... Herr Chrobog is said to have given a blistering critique of the US-German relationship during the annual meeting of German ambassadors... Said a US diplomat: If true, someone?s made a big mistake. It's true and ominously in character. 

What is it that France finds so attractive in Baathist officials? could it be that the French are afraid of what Saddam's friends would reveal to the Coalition's liberation forces? or is it a far more nefarious collaboration? An unknown number of Iraqis who worked for Saddam Hussein's government were given passports by French officials in Syria, U.S. intelligence officials said. The passports are regarded as documents of the European Union... and have helped the Iraqis avoid capture...
