So Ends Another Chapter
Today is my last day here. They finally let me go. I have a lot of memories of this building. After all, it isn't the first time I've left here, but it will be the last. I spent my dotcom years in the offices here. During the decline, I left to work for a consulting company for about 9 months before they kind of collapsed under their own weight. I came back to this building, not as a dot-comer, but as a lowly webmaster. It's served me well since I've been back in school for the last 3 semesters, but all things good must end. This is the 4th company I've worked for since 1998 that has collapsed. This time it was a manufacturing company though. Not much technology going on here. Times like this cause one to reflect. Where will I go now? Consulting. Already been doing it for the last few months. Where do I want to go? Far away from computers. It's just not fun anymore. Will I update my weblog more often now? Hopefully. Will it be more personal? Definitely. Will I wake up tomorrow as a new person? I wake up as a new person every morning. Am I going to the bar tonight? Without a doubt. ;)
