President Megawati, in an arrogantly toned speech, said that we must not "bad-mouth" our country. Instead, she said, we should be proud because good or bad, right or wrong, Indonesia is still our country; our motherland. She also mentioned that as long as we stay here, and make our living here, we must stop with all the harsh criticisms and that if we're not satisfied with the way life is here we are welcome to look for a country which will suit us better. How dare she? She sure isn't saying anything bad about Indonesia, yes. She's only doing things that shows so much disrespect towards the country and the people. She wouldn't even visit Nunukan to witness the pain and suffering that's becoming day-to-day life over there. Instead, she and her entourage went on a useless trip to Eastern Europe for the purpose of God-knows-what. She's an embarrasment to the nation. And that's worse than any bad-mouthing I can imagine of. 7:59:53 PM |
