Today's Kompas reports that the number of unemployment in Indonesia will go thru an increase of 1.6 million people in 2003, bringing the total of unemployed up to 40 million.

Apple unveils new Internet music store with 200,000 titles available online. Each song costs 99 cents to download and has the most liberal copying rights of any online service to date. The Apple site says "In a nutshell, you can play your music on up to three computers, enjoy unlimited synching with your iPods, burn unlimited CDs of individual songs, and burn unchanged playlists up to 10 times each." Quite a deal. Too bad the service is only available in the U.S. And only for Macs. I'll fare well here with my .mp3s, thank you.
