I really like my new Treo.  I won't attempt to reproduce several good reviews--like this one--but I will say that the one thing I do notice is that it seems, well, a bit fragile compared to my old warhorse Nokia phone.

One short fall onto a hard surface, and bingo, this baby's done for.

Hal Plotkin thinks that Hollywood should create its own closed devices in order to get over the problems they have with content/piracy/drm/napsterization.

Using his logic, the best way to stamp out the bubonic plague (or whatever disease) is to build a mousetrap that only catches docile, disease free mice.
