Dead at age 89: Chuck Jones, who drew Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote.  So long, and thanks for all the fish.

P.S.  Here at this particular weblog we do not condone neither the keeping of fish (nor or any other animal for that matter) as pets nor to be generally knawing and chewing on the flesh thereof (unless of course pan-fried in delicate seasonings and served with fresh greens and a refreshing beverage).

We'll call all this what it is: a holding action, posting for posting's sake, trying to get a feel for this interesting new wrinkle in the space-time continuum.  I can tell already that the format I used for my old e-zine will not suffice here.  And the landscape has changed.  I complained about information overload back then!!  I am already wrestling with 8 or 9 UserLand newsfeeds.   But at least the tools are (somewhere) out there, and there's this collaborative buzz in the air, and I'm quite sure we're in for some interesting times, to paraphrase my beloved Chinese Dream Decoder.  I'm sure many have stood where I'm standing now and wrestled with these issues to find their own solutions.

And mama didn't raise no fool.  Of course I've been out and about, trolling the datastream for blogistical information, seeking out arcane discussions on proper blogging netiquette, and seeking out shining examples of this nascent 21st century artform.  A couple I found that immediately knocked my socks off were The Shifted Librarian and Adam Curry's Weblog.  I've also bookmarked Andrew Sullivan's article "A Blogger's Manifesto", and found (via the aforementioned shifty librarian) Notes on Visual and Interactive Design to kickstart the creative juices visually.
