I am not feeling well. I have the flu or the latest muslim retrovirus that's going around. My blog has just been targeted by the infernal inference engines of the TIA. It's snowing on the east coast, where I live and breathe and have my corporeal being. So, while there is much of interest to post, I just do not have the energy. And this is rare. I must see a doktor of medicine and place my wellbeing in another's hands, for the first time in years, probably take antibiotics. I AM NOT HAPPY. Am I saying all this aloud? (he asked, knowingly) Am I blogging yet, mommy? If a tree falls on my head in the forest and no one can hear it, does it hurt? No one's reading this blog. What am I trying to achieve here? Can this energy be put to better use right now? Is this something I really need to do? Seems that way, I do enjoy this but might enjoy it more if I knew I had an audience, and was serving informing and entertaining someone besides yours truly. Can it survive public tastes that run more towards turgid monuments to our overweening hubris, environmental apathy, and total insensitivity to human dignity and to the sheer beauty of life? Sooner or later, the 21st century is going to rise, and it's increasingly likely that at least some of it will be built on the smoldering ashes of the 20th.
