RESOLVENET GENERAL INFORMATION
UNSPSC-TAGGING
The UNSPSC or Universal Standard Products and Services
Classification is an eight-digit code or four pairs of numbers
that each represent a level in the classification hierarchy.
The specific levels represented, from general to specific, are
SEGMENT:FAMILY:CLASS:COMMODITY
For example, the UNSPSC Code for "Staplers" would be 44.12.15.16
Which is broken down into the following levels:
44 (SEGMENT) Office Equipment and Accessories and Supplies
12 (FAMILY) Office Supplies
15 (CLASS) Desk Supplies
16 (COMMODITY) Staplers
