A small parcel has just arrived in
Scotland, from my favourite bookshop in
Bamberg,
collibri, dispatching an order I had placed, when having biked there during the heat wave in summer:
Henning Köhler: Vom Wunder des Kindseins,
Verlag Freies Geistesleben,
erweiterte Neuausgabe, 2003.
Henning Köhler, whose lived biography bears witness to his
credentials, has furnished a treasure trove of nuggets for those
involved in the rearing of children. His wisdom is expressed in German.
And there, among others, might be the rub, methinks. Ideas expressed in
tongues other than the Anglo-American one seem to be increasingly
carrying less of a voice in the mainstream conscious– and
conscientiousness of the times.
