> activeRolls Are Multiplying

The activeRollers section of s l a m's activeRoll (bottom right of the home page) is expanding day after day. Great :-)

I'm tracking new adopters by checking the referers list. If you publish an activeRoll and your site is not listed, drop me a note Click here to send an email to the editor of this weblog..

The real value of activeRolls will become more apparent with the next release of activeRenderer, which will support outline transclusion.

With this feature active, clicking on a weblog listed in the activeRollers section will actually expand the roll in place with the content of that site's blogRoll, building a seamless resource directory.

> activeBookmarks Tutorial

I've published part 5 of the activeRenderer tutorial series last night. It covers publishing your browser's bookmarks in a dedicated outline page or an activeRoll. These activeBookmarks are the latest feature of activeRenderer vs 1.1, released on Tuesday.

Other tutorials are available:
  • Part 1: Publishing Simple Outlines.
  • Part 2: Tuning Outlines Layout.
  • Part 3: Customizing Your Own Outline Template.
  • Part 4: Publishing active blogRolls.
The next tutorial will probably describe how to publish your weblog in outline style. I've just realized it's missing from the series.
