I've just upgraded my copy of Microsoft Office X to Service Release 1.
I didn't run into any of the problems encountered by some according to Mark Pilgrim:
Also, Macintouch, MacFixit, and others are reporting that installing the service pack will wipe out your registration information and force you to dig up your original install CD and re-enter the CD key, which apparently doesn't always work.[diveintomark]
Everything went down smoothly, no registration key or CD required, I was done in less than 10 mn, 11 Mb download time included.
Interestingly enough, I read in the release notes that Office X now supports Quartz text smoothing under MacOS X 10.1.5. My current version of OS X is 10.1.4. Afaik, it is the latest currently available from Apple. Did I miss something ? Or is another MacOS X update to be expected before the ever so hyped Jaguar release ?
