Lettuce First...
Ok.... I've been going to Subway for 18 years (One of the few things open after midnight back in 1984 in Orlando, Fl.) and today was the first time I've seen lettuce go on LAST (It's usually the first vegetable). Is this just a minor aberation or a major change (like the change in roll slicing technique from a few years ago) ?Hmmm...
I find that in some ways I'm very predictable. For the last 3 years 90% of the time I get the same sub at Subway:
- Foot long Roast beast
- wheat bread
- Swiss if they have it, other wise provolone (except on a trip driving to Iowa where they only had "American" psuedo-cheese)
- All veggies except onions & exotics (no mushrooms or cucumbers)
- jalepeno (just a couple)
- mayo (they have a horseradish/mustard sauce now but there is something in it that makes my face go a lttle numb)
- tomato slices
- green peppers
- salt and pepper
Before that I seemed to always get the "Italian" sub which is whatever selection of spicy meats they have plus vinegar and oil.
I don't think I could lose 100 pounds (if I had it to loose) on a Subway "diet".
I seem to stick with the same foods for a long time. Used to get
only Big Macs at McDonalds but now I'll get one of the cheese burger varieties instead.
Hmmmm....
Must be an age thing. I like variety but I like the same variety all the time.
