-- Part I.ii - Queen of Disks -- Main (OG) -- Part I.iv - Works --

Humming happily to herself, Dawn plopped down on the couch in Buffy's office with an amused grin on her face. "Want to see something fun?" She asked her sister.

Buffy stretched backward, arching her back in an attempt to relieve the stiffness in her shoulders. "Sure. I'm up for some fun right about now." she mumbled halfheartedly.

Dawn got up and moved around to Buffy's side of the desk and gave her sister a push with her hip. "Move over." she demanded. When Buffy made room for her, Dawn grabbed her mouse and keyboard. "I thought you were going to show me something fun!" Buffy protested. "Computers aren't fun!"

"Just a minute... you'll love this!" Dawn insisted. Mystified, Buffy watched her clicking and typing away for a minute.

Watching the look of intense concentration on Dawn's face, "What are you doing?" she asked.

"Do you remember Willow's project?" Dawn asked. "The one where she wants us to keep track of everything going on around all of the Council offices with a computer database?"

"Maybe... " Buffy answered hesitantly. "You mean that thing where we could lose a whole office and all of the stuff on the computers would still be there at one of the other offices?"

"Sort of." Dawn grimaced. Her sister wasn't as much of a Luddite as Giles pretended to be but she refused to use a computer for more than e-mail and word processing, and occasionally browsing the Internet. "The computer geeks Willow found to set up that cluster thing for us do think it's the greatest thing since e-mail. And it does help make what I'm going to show you easier. But that isn't the point."

"Okay, so show away..." Buffy looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Here goes." Dawn typed something. "The London office just finished entering a bunch of notes and old files into the database this morning. And anything that has happened here and in the LA office since we opened both offices is now in there also. I thought I would test it using that search software we got from the Google guys."

"What's Google got to do with our records?" Buffy interrupted, giving Dawn a confused look. She vaguely remembered Willow mentioning Google the previous autumn but it had been one of those Wiccan-computer geek things and she hadn't paid much attention at the time.

"It doesn't matter, I'll explain later. Just watch." Dawn told her. "After Tonks dropped in on us I was curious about people who visit the office and wondered if we could find out about them quickly if we needed to." She entered something else and grinned over at her sister. "Look what happens when I search for people carrying swords."

Several items popped up on the screen. Buffy frowned and stared intently but she had no idea what she was looking at.

"See?" Dawn pointed out what she thought was obviously interesting in the results.

"See what?" Buffy asked, still confused by what she was seeing.

"Geeze..." Dawn growled at her before explaining. "We had someone show up in the Cleveland office carrying a sword a few weeks ago. It set off some of Willow's alarms." She pointed at a line on the screen. "She's on Giles' list of potential outside contractors."

"I know that. I've seen Giles' file on her and I met her in person last Fall in London." Buffy grumbled. "Didn't need a computer to tell me that."

"How about this one?" Dawn pointed at another item. "Faith met someone last year on a trip. She doesn't say who but they claimed to be some kind of immortal. She says they fight each other with swords and would prefer to be left alone."

"And the connection?" Buffy asked, in spite of herself starting to become interested at the connections Dawn was showing her.

"This last item here..." Dawn pointed at it proudly. "It's from a slayer diary they found in one of the old Council's safe houses. It mentions an encounter she had with someone claiming to be an immortal, some thief named Amanda. There's also some mention of an agreement of some sort between immortals and the Council."

"Amanda? Do you think this is the same person?" Buffy wondered. "The connection seems a bit tenuous."

"Well... No, we don't have any proof that it is her." Dawn admitted. "But I have a feeling about this one. Maybe the next time Faith is in Cleveland she'll tell us more about her encounter." She told her sister.

Buffy nodded before moving on. "How about this claimed agreement with these immortals?"

"If there was anything about it it was probably lost when the old Council was destroyed." Dawn told her. "I haven't found anything about it yet." Shrugging, she closed up the search program and moved back around Buffy's desk, reclaiming her spot on the couch.

"Okay. You'll have to show the rest of us how to do that kind of thing some time." Buffy told her thoughtfully as she retrieved her keyboard and mouse from where Dawn had shoved them. "And let Giles know about this mysterious agreement. It wouldn't be the first time one of the old Council Heads did something like that and didn't tell anyone else."

"Okay." Dawn nodded in agreement. "Did you need me for anything important today?" she asked, preparing to leave.

"Well, I could use your help with a couple things actually." Buffy leaned back in her chair, trying to get comfortable again before continuing. "What are you doing after lunch?"

"Studying. The usual. Why?" Dawn raised a practiced eyebrow, a maneuver she'd learned from watching Faith, though Dawn noticed it didn't seem to have quite the same effect on her sister as it did on her when Faith did it.

"Can you give Ginny a ride somewhere? She wants to check out a local magic store she's heard about." Buffy waved at the pile of papers on her desk. "Something came up and I can't take her myself."

"Sure. That'll be fun." Dawn smiled and held out her hand. "We'll need some money."

"What for?" Buffy asked, eyeing her sister suspiciously.

"Shopping. A little bit of this, a little bit of that..." Dawn grinned.

"Don't you have your own money? If I recall correctly, and I do since I set it up, you get more than enough spending money for anything personal." Buffy frowned. "And until you work for the Council full time, if it's research related Giles needs to approve it anyway."

"But it's more fun if you pay for it!" Dawn pouted. "And what if Ginny needs to buy something?"

"She has her Council credit card. It'll cover anything she might need to buy this afternoon." Buffy shook her head at the look of delight on Dawn's face. "Try not to buy anything that would give Giles a heart attack." She mumbled.

"Got it. Nothing heart attack worthy." Dawn grinned. "What else?"

"What are you doing for Spring break?"

"Hanging out here. Catching up on some work." She sat back down, this time in one of the chairs in front of Buffy's desk. "Why?"

"Can you take off more than a week?" Buffy asked hopefully.

"I don't know. All of my classes are independent study this spring. If I talk with my advisers I can probably swing it." Dawn looked intently at her sister. "What's up?"

"Giles really wants Ginny to set up that wand detection spell in the London and LA offices as soon as possible. I'll be going to London with Fred when she goes back next week. And I'll be in Moscow for the rest of that week." Buffy fiddled nervously with the letter opener on her desk as she spoke. "If you want to come along I was going to ask Ginny if she wanted to spend a few days in London after that and then we'll work our way back to Cleveland by way of Tokyo and LA." Buffy could almost see the wheels turning in her sister's head as she tried to hide her surprise at Buffy's offer. "It'll be a long trip and we won't be in each office for very long."

"I'll check tomorrow." Dawn told her, getting back up. "I don't think anyone will object."

"Great! Please don't tell Ginny yet. I'm still working on the details." Buffy gave her a small smile. "And Dawn?"

"Yes?" Dawn stopped in the door and turned back to her sister.

"Try to get Ginny back by dinner tonight."

Dawn winked at her sister. "Oh. You two have plans?"

"Not exactly..." Buffy shrugged and gave her sister an enigmatic smile before going back to work.

"Sure." And Dawn headed back to the library, leaving her alone.

"So, why aren't we just ordering things for this spell using the old Magic Box accounts?" Dawn asked curiously, looking briefly at her passenger before she pulled out of the Council driveway into early afternoon traffic.

Her soft English accent barely rising above the sound of the radio, "Because there are several ingredients that I need for the spell I'm working on that are much more effective if they are very fresh." Ginny told her. "They may be a lot cheaper but the ingredients we can get through the Magic Box accounts are usually at least a week old before they arrive."

"Okay." Dawn spent a few minutes negotiating the confusing traffic system before continuing. Relaxing once they were outside of the metropolitan area. "And why are we going all the way out here for it?" She waved at the countryside they were currently driving through.

"The people running these kinds of shops stay away from the city for some reason." Ginny told her, frowning in thought. "They didn't really explain when I called for directions this morning."

"Okay." Dawn nodded before bestowing a slight grin on her compatriot. "If I ran a magic shop and I lived within a hundred miles of a Hellmouth I could see myself avoiding the big smelly evil."

"Is the Hellmouth really smelly?" Ginny asked in surprise. "Buffy keeps promising me a trip to see it but she's been too busy with Willow gone."

'Well, no not really. But the slayers seemed to think so." Dawn smirked. "You should see the newbies when they come back from their Hellmouth orientation trip. They leave, excited that they'll get to see the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame and when they get back they use up all of the hot water in the building trying to get rid of the psychic stink."

"Oh. I wonder what Buffy thinks about it?" Ginny mused.

"My sister? I think both she and Faith are numb to that kind of thing." Dawn shook her head. "Too many collisions with tombstones and other immovable objects while fighting demons over the past few years."

They were both silent for the rest of the trip to the small town outside of Cleveland.

"I think this is the area!" Ginny pointed out one of the landmarks she'd been given. "There can't be a statue like that anywhere else around here." It was a statue of a young woman holding a broom, with a cat on her shoulder, at one end of a small park in the middle of the small town.

"Looks kind of Halloweeny." Dawn mumbled. "And there doesn't seem to be any parking nearby." She grumbled. "We'll have to park a few blocks back in that public lot we passed and walk." She drove around the square, heading back to where she'd seen a sign for public parking.

Finding an empty spot, the two young women climbed out of Dawn's car and straightened their clothes, trying to give a more presentable outward appearance before heading down the street. It reminded Dawn of some of the more quaint towns she'd visited in New England the summer before during a research trip with Willow.

"Do you see the shop we're looking for?" She asked, looking around once they were directly across the street from the statue.

"No. But they did say it was on a side street directly off of Main Street." Ginny told her, also looking around.

"What were the directions again?" Dawn asked, looking for another street connecting to the one they were on, and not seeing anything.

"They said to look for Crystal Avenue. It's a short, cobblestone paved street across from the park. The witches' cat faces toward its entrance." Ginny surreptitiously examined the statue, trying to figure out where the cat was looking. "Oh, there it is."

"Where?" Dawn asked, puzzled. As her eyes followed Ginny's pointed finger the street seemed to suddenly slide into place in front of her. "Wow. That was weird."

"Some kind of charm to hide it." Ginny commented, before heading towards it. "Probably only magic sensitive people can see past it."

"Clever. So why did you see it right away and I didn't?" Dawn asked as she stepped onto the cobblestones. "Is it a Wiccan thing?"

"I can think of a few reasons that we shouldn't discuss in public." Ginny told her with a frown, giving her a hushing motion.

Dawn's eyes widened but she remained silent for a moment as she gazed around at the small collection of shops lining the small pedestrian street, hoping that the one with the 'Menagerie' sign wasn't a souvenir shop. "So, where do you want to go first?"

"We should probably get what we came for before anything else." Ginny replied absently as she also checked out the shops. "We can always come back some other day if we don't have time for something."

"Okay. What was the name of the place we want?" Dawn asked looking again at the different shops.

"The Craft Shop." Ginny told her.

Dawn giggled. "That's appropriate."

Ginny gave her a puzzled look. "What do you mean?"

"Sorry. It was a movie about teenage witches." She giggled again and shrugged. "Willow feels the same way about it that Buffy does about vampire movies."

The bell above the door rang three times as they entered. Dawn shivered and murmured to Ginny, "It sort of looks like the Magic Box used to."

Ginny gave her a sympathetic look and squeezed her shoulder before she glanced around.

"Can I help you?" a cheerful voice asked them from the front of the store. Standing behind a counter containing an old fashioned cash register was a tall, skinny woman, who, to Dawn's eyes, looked close to Ginny's age. She was dressed in what Dawn had come to recognize over the years as typical of Wiccan taste. Long flowing skirts and vaguely hippyish designs. The only Wiccans she'd ever met who seemed to manage to avoid the stereotypical look were Willow and Ginny and even they sometimes succumbed to it if Buffy wasn't around to keep them in line.

"Yes." Ginny told her, walking over to the counter, Dawn in tow. "I called this morning looking for fresh poppy root."

"You're not what I expected." She looked Ginny up and down with a slight frown. "What spell uses that?"

"Does it matter?" Ginny asked her. Dawn could see she was puzzled by the question.

"No, there just isn't much call for it from our normal clientele." She looked closely at Ginny. "And even the other local magic users don't seem to use it much." She made a subtle waving motion with one hand.

"Oh." Ginny nodded and responded with a similar motion. "Well, I need several ounces for a protection charm. If you don't mind."

"Not at all." The woman nodded back and Dawn wondered what she'd missed. "It's in the back. It'll be just a minute." Ginny thanked her and she disappeared behind a curtained door.

Double checking to make sure they weren't being observed, "What was that all about?" Dawn whispered to Ginny as they wandered around the shop, idly browsing while they waited.

"She was just confused. Dried poppy root, not fresh, is used in most Wiccan spells." She put down the large rose crystal she'd been examining. "It behaves completely different if it's fresh. She wanted to make sure I knew what I was asking for."

"Oh." Dawn thought for a minute. "But you've used it before because of..." Instead of finishing her sentence she waved her hand slightly.

"Yes." Ginny looked around. "They must cater to several different magical groups. Everything here is something a wiccan or druid would use but also notice how a lot of things have different symbols next to their names on their signs." She pointed a few out. "Those can be used by some of the other magical traditions."

"And you recognize the symbols?" Dawn asked curiously.

"Yes. But not everyone is probably aware of them. They seem to be tied to the kind of magic someone can do." She looked around before pointing out a specific symbol on a placard. "Do you see that one?" At Dawn's nod she continued. "A traditional wiccan wouldn't see that particular symbol unless they were very powerful. Or if they also practiced that kind of magic."

"Why can I see them then?" Dawn asked, slightly confused.

"Well..." Ginny paused for a moment before telling her quietly "I'm not exactly sure but if I had to guess I would say there are a few key reasons."

"Oh!" Dawn's eyes widened. "That's not good." she murmured in a low voice.

"Being sensitive to magic isn't necessarily a bad thing." Ginny gently squeezed her shoulder again. "According to Willow's notes, slayers wouldn't survive very long if they didn't have that ability. And I wouldn't call it good or bad." Ginny smiled at her. "Your sister and the other slayers can probably see such things for similar reasons. We did meet, after all, in a place that was hidden with charms a lot better than those used on these tags. It's probably also what allowed you to see the entrance to the street."

"Oh. And the entrance to the shop felt kind of strange also." Dawn frowned in thought. "I wonder what it meant."

"It's probably charmed to detect the type of magic user who walks through it." Ginny suggested. "And the bell probably announced it."

"Really? I wonder if they have different people to help the different magic types." Dawn mused. "Or if we're even seeing the same shop someone else would see."

Ginny noticed the inquisitive look on Dawn's face. "No." she told her firmly.

"What?" Dawn gave Ginny her best innocent look.

"We are not experimenting." Ginny shook her head. "We don't need to draw that kind of attention to ourselves. Anyway, a wiccan doesn't need a wand so I don't have a good reason to have it with me."

"Don't you ever get a headache from keeping the whole Wiccan/wand thing straight?" Dawn asked quietly.

"Only when a certain nosy sister of a slayer who isn't even supposed to know about wand magic gives me one." Ginny glared at her for a moment before giving her a subtle wink. "Wiccan here. Remember?"

"You need to practice the righteous indignation thing some more." Dawn told her with a grin. "Been taking lessons from Buffy? She can never keep a straight face when she tries to do it if she isn't serious. Or has she been too busy teaching you other things?"

"Wouldn't you like to know!" Ginny smirked.

"Urgh! Not really!" Dawn sputtered. Before she could continue they were interrupted by the shop keeper returning carrying a small blue wax envelope. They hurried back over to the counter.

"You'll want to use this within the next two weeks or it'll spoil." She warned Ginny.

"You take credit cards don't you?" Ginny pulled out the new corporate credit card Buffy had helped her christen the previous weekend.

"Yes. Of course." She took the card from Ginny. "I'll need to see a photo ID also, please." she asked before looking at it.

Ginny handed over her Council ID.

"Oh." She looked at the card and ID and back at Ginny again. "I should have guessed from the hair." She gave Ginny a more welcoming smile. "Someone did mention that one of the English Weasleys was working in the area but I didn't realize there were any Wiccans in your family."

"The hair?" Dawn said under her breath, giving Ginny a questioning look.

"Excuse me?" Ginny asked, confused at the comment.

"We occasionally order items from the Weasleys' Wizarding Wheezes catalog for several of our special patrons." She placed her hand on Ginny's. "I'm sure they would love to meet you."

"Oh." Ginny looked startled before protesting, "I'm not really involved with that."

"That's too bad. The Ohio magical community is fairly small. We can always use a fresh face." She smirked at Ginny. "Especially an unattached one."

"Unattached?" Dawn sputtered loudly enough that the other two women turned to look at her. "She's not." She feebly said, blushing at the glare Ginny gave her. "Unattached I mean."

"You have a boyfriend? Or husband?" Dawn thought the woman looked disappointed.

"No." Ginny muttered, giving Dawn a quelling glance. "And I have no interest in finding one. Thanks."

"That's too bad." The woman handed Ginny's credit card and ID back. "Is there anything else I can get you?"

"No. This'll do." Dawn shook her head along with Ginny but managed to keep quiet as she watched the woman hand their purchase over to Ginny with a smile.

"What was that about?" Dawn asked as they headed towards the door. "I thought wand users didn't mix with other magic users. Isn't there that whole secrecy thing going on?"

"Well, she didn't openly say anything but this is America." Ginny told her. "Maybe the magical communities here are a bit more open about such things? I didn't think so since none of you knew about wands but we can ask Willow about it when she gets back."

"Actually, I think she was trying to pick you up." Dawn slyly told Ginny once they were outside. "I think you need to bring Buffy along next time to beat her off."

Shaking her head at the idea, Ginny snorted. "Wouldn't I have to learn how to drive first?" She looked at Dawn. "What happened to all the warnings about Buffy's driving?"

"Well, yeah!" Dawn smirked. "It's always best to drive if you go anywhere with Buffy." She thought for a moment. "If Xander isn't in town when you decide you want to learn you should ask Andrew. They both have a lot of patience with that sort of thing. Probably because they have to deal with cranky slayers all of the time." She giggled.

"Okay." Ginny stopped walking and looked around at the other shops. "Where next? How much time do we have?"

Dawn looked at her watch. "Depends on your plans for the evening. If you don't mind getting stuck in traffic on the way back we have several hours."

"No definite plans. Just the usual." Ginny told her.

"Okay. Since that means dinner with a certain slayer who shall remain nameless," Dawn grinned at Ginny's attempt to keep a straight face while faintly blushing, "and we already have one slayer in a bad mood because of a missing witch, which is more than enough, why don't we make it an hour?"

"Why don't we look in the pet shop?" Ginny mumbled in an obvious attempt to avoid reacting to Dawn's comment.

"You want a pet?" Dawn asked as Ginny steered them towards the shop with the large 'Menagerie' sign.

"Not exactly. I would like to check out their cats to see if any would make a good familiar." Ginny told her, stopping to look in the shop window.

"A familiar? I don't think Willow has ever had one. Tara did have a cat but something happened to it." Dawn told her quietly. "I don't think it really counted as a familiar. Sunnydale wasn't the safest place for cats."

"Well, I would probably want to put a protection spell on it to protect it from sharp objects." Ginny elbowed Dawn, who looked at her guiltily before shrugging.

"And the kitten poker." Dawn shuddered.

"Kitten poker?" Ginny stopped short before opening the shop door to give her a strange look.

"You don't want to know." Dawn told her with a grimace. "Trust me."

"Alright. I won't ask." Ginny turned back to the door.

"Do a lot of wiccans have familiars?" Dawn asked curiously.

"No. That's one of those ideas non-magical people have. They seem to confuse the different kinds of witches." Ginny told her. "Several of the Elders with our Coven had them but it isn't too common."

"Why not?" Dawn eyed the shop door.

Ginny shrugged. "A familiar can have strange affects on spells if you don't know what you are doing."

"Oh." She frowned. "Then why do you want one?"

"I'm not sure if I do." Ginny told her, holding the door to the shop open and motioning her in. "I'm just curious."

"So we're looking for a cat that could be a familiar." Ginny nodded at her. "But we aren't actually going to get one?" Dawn asked as she crossed the threshold.

"Correct." she answered, following Dawn into the shop, letting the door close on its own.

Dragging a protesting Dawn away from the 'Menagerie', Ginny pulled her in the direction of Main Street and Dawn's car.

"I still think you should have gotten that orange kitten." Dawn told Ginny, dragging her feet. "It seemed to really like you."

"I don't think today is the right time to get one." Ginny protested. "I'm too busy right now to devote the time needed to a kitten. Especially if it is going to be a familiar. And what if Buffy is allergic to them?"

"She's a slayer, I don't think she is. It would interfere with the demon hunting. Make sure you ask her about the kitten tonight!" Dawn told her. "Now where did we park?"

After a quiet, uninterrupted dinner, Ginny found herself invited back to the Summers sister's apartment for the first time since she'd moved to Cleveland. It was one of the few full apartments in the Cleveland Council complex and was surprisingly home like, she thought as she gazed around in appreciation as Buffy showed her around.

Noticing a frost covered bottle and two glasses sitting on the kitchen counter during the tour, "What's that?" she asked curiously.

"A consolation prize. Real Russian vodka." Buffy told her with a small smile, pulling two stools up to the counter and indicating Ginny should sit on one. "I thought you might like to try it."

Nodding her head in agreement, Ginny asked "Consolation for what?" as she watched Buffy place one of the glasses in front of her.

"Giles felt guilty." Buffy told her with a short laugh. "He shortened the Moscow trip that Faith and I had been planning for months."

"But why the vodka?" Ginny wondered as Buffy proceeded to pour a small amount into both glasses.

"The Moscow slayer's watcher had promised Faith a trip to Kirov, where they make the best Russian vodka. With the shortened trip we won't have time for it." Buffy sighed. "And we probably won't make it back to Moscow for another year unless there's an emergency of the apocalyptic kind."

"Oh." Ginny watched Buffy delicately drink from her glass before sipping from her own. "Shouldn't you be sharing this with Faith?"

"No. She's in London running errands for Giles." Buffy chuckled. "He promised to deliver hers personally." Sliding off of her stool, Buffy reached for her glass and motioned for Ginny to follow. "Why don't we finish the tour and then I have a couple things to ask you."

"Okay." Glass in hand, Ginny smiled as she followed Buffy around the rest of the apartment and listened to her amusing running commentary.

Ginny's quick glimpse of Dawn's bedroom, the kitchen, and the living room had seemed to indicate a place designed by someone to provide a comfortable and stress free escape from the daily chaos in the rest of the Council complex. She was almost envious though she briefly wondered why the bedrooms had the same locks on them as the rest of the complex but decided now was not the time to ask.

But, standing in the doorway to Buffy's bedroom, her now empty glass dangling from one hand, she was brought up short by the sight of Buffy sitting on her bed nervously holding a stuffed animal that looked vaguely like a small pink pig.

Glancing around, she was surprised at how stark and empty the room was, in contrast to the rest of the apartment. Making a wild guess, Ginny assumed that Dawn or someone other than Buffy must have decorated the rest of the apartment.

She wasn't quite sure what to make of the room. The bare walls and utilitarian furniture didn't seem to reflect Buffy's personality. Or at least Ginny's image of who she was. She found it just a little disturbing. She wasn't reassured when Buffy sighed sadly as if sensing her hesitation and motioned for her to come into the room.

Walking the rest of the way through the doorway, Ginny gingerly sat down on the only chair in the room and still clutching her glass looked expectantly at Buffy. "You had some things you wanted to talk with me about?"

"Yes." Buffy leaned back against the wall, still clutching the toy. "Giles is getting a bit anxious about that spell you are working on to detect wands when someone carrying one enters one of the Council buildings."

"Ah..." Not exactly the kind of discussion she was hoping for, or even expecting. "The detection part has been done for a while. The part where it also disarms anyone who attempts to use a wand is taking longer than I thought it would. That might have to wait until Willow returns."

"Okay." Buffy smiled a little too brightly for Ginny's peace of mind and nodded her head in approval. "That is more than enough to keep even Giles happy. How would you like to go on a trip?"

"A trip?" Ginny repeated in surprise, her voice echoing in the sparsely decorated room.

"Yes. It is your spell." Buffy grinned at her, her earlier nervousness apparently now gone. "Faith and I still need to deal with Moscow. We have to spend a few days there next week after I escort Fred back to London. How would you like to meet up with us in London after we get back from Moscow? You can take care of the London office, spend a couple days visiting family, and then the four of us can do the same thing in Tokyo and then LA."

"The four of us?" Ginny asked curiously.

"Oh, sorry." Buffy apologized. "If you don't mind, Dawn will be coming with us. She has some time off and I thought she could use the change in routine before apocalypse season hits us this year. She can travel to London with you." She grinned again. "And it'll be your first round the world trip for the Council."

"Okay. It sounds like fun!" Ginny jumped up from her chair and pulled Buffy up off of her bed with her free hand. Excitedly hugging the surprised slayer she announced "I think we need to celebrate." and dragged her unprotesting into the kitchen in search of a refill and something suitably sugary.

Notes:
  • The next few parts will see our pair off jet setting. This one is just a 'slice of life' episode setting things up for the future.
  • Did you notice Mr. Gordo's walk-on? Or the Star Trek reference? Didn't think so.
