[Tara/Willow/Dawn find the letters from Dumbledore after Buffy's death.]
Tara looked around the dusty room, not sure where to start first. It hadn't been touched since Joyce's death. Both Summers girls had been too traumatised to deal with it. If she could, she would forget the events that followed. Some times she woke up in the middle of the night feeling like she had places to be. She knew it would be a long time before she felt comfortable in her own mind again.
It had seemed to make sense, she and Willow could stay in Joyce's old bedroom while they took care of Dawn. But someone had to clean it and put her possessions in storage. With Buffy's death, no one else seemed to have the will to do it. She couldn't imagine when they would take the next step and put Buffy's life into boxes to join Joyce's.
She put the last bag of clothes out into the hall, ready to go to Goodwill. Dawn had wanted to keep only a few things. Joyce had always dressed well but none of her clothes fit any of them, even if they had been able to get past the creepy feeling of wearing a dead person's clothes.
Tara stared at the large cedar box. She'd found it in the closet. If she didn't know better she would think there was some kind of spell protecting its contents.
Dawn stared at the letters. "There are so many of them." she whispered.
"They go back to before Buffy was born." Tara said. "I'm not sure we should read them."
"Do you think this is the same Brian?" Willow asked. "The one she had the date with before she died?"
"You can feel the love in these letters." Tara murmured after reading several.
"Did she love him back?" Dawn asked.
"It's hard to tell." Tara told them. "We're only seeing his side of this. Listen to this one..."
