Study Links Student-Alcohol Deaths. A study showing 1,400 college students are killed each year in alcohol-related accidents should change the views of people who see drinking on campus as little more than a rite of passage, researchers and university officials said Tuesday. [AP Health]
I know a lot of people enjoy drinking. My brother was put into a coma back in college when he dove into a shallow pool when drunk. He's now in a wheelchair. It's just not worth it.
A friend was complaining about the new drunk driving limit of 0.08, and how it makes it almost impossible to drink when at a party or meal. Personally, I think the aviation rule should be implemented for all motor vehicles: eight hours, bottle to throttle. Eight full hours between any alcohol consumption and the operation of a vehicle.
