Thomas Szasz. "Formerly, when religion was strong and science weak, men mistook magic for medicine; now, when science is strong and religion weak, men mistake medicine for magic."

Ernest Hemingway. "When people talk, listen completely. Most people never listen."

Anais Nin. "Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage."

Abraham J. Heschel. "Self-respect is the fruit of discipline; the sense of dignity grows with the ability to say no to oneself."

Use The Force

"Oil's too political. Coal's too dirty.
Solar, wind, hydro—they're all just green dreams.
Hydrogen is lovely stuff, but it takes energy to make it.
It's time Americans learn to stop worrying and love nuclear power."

I live in the country on lush green acres. I treasure the environment. And I support the development of nuclear power worldwide. New reactor designs eliminate 'meltdown.' And this article by Tucker can help people understand how a total lack of human factors engineering in Three Mile Island was the cause--long since corrected--of this one incident so many years ago that has halted the U.S.'s development of new plants and kept us beholden to foreign oil.

If you dream of zero pollution vehicles, the source for their power will almost certainly come from electricity (which may be used to create hydrogen and oxygen to power a fuel cell). Nuclear power is the way to provide vastly cheaper energy than we'll have from increasing costs for oil/natural gas, coal, and other fossil fuels.
